Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” just touched down on a new deal.
The deal is reportedly worth some $100 million, according to Bloomberg News, Variety and the Wall Street Journal. Wondery declined to answer questions from The Post about the financial terms of the deal, though a representative confirmed that it would last for three years. Representatives for the Kelce brothers did not respond to requests for comment.
The deal comes as the podcast’s third season, its first under Wondery, will launch Wednesday, about a week before the NFL season kicks off. “New Heights” will still be available across other podcasting platforms. Wondery’s subscription service will offer new podcast episodes early and ad-free.
“We love this show and the fan base that has grown with us over the last two seasons,” Travis and Jason said in a news release.
The “New Heights” podcast, which debuted in 2022 with Wave Sports + Entertainment, features the brothers discussing a variety of topics, such as a visit to the White House, sports and aliens. It was originally focused on their thoughts on the NFL, as Jason was a center for the Philadelphia Eagles (he retired in March), and Travis is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
But that soon changed when Travis started dating Taylor Swift around September 2023. The podcast became a staple for her fans, known as Swifties, who were seeking information on the pop star and her dating life. The show now has more than 2.4 million subscribers on YouTube.
The Kelce brothers’ deal comes as other major podcasts are seeing new contracts. Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast recently inked a deal with SiriusXM reportedly worth $125 million, as the satellite radio station explores more of the podcasting space. Cooper originally left Barstool Sports in 2021 for Spotify in a $60 million deal, according to Variety.
In January, it was announced that Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes were moving their “SmartLess” podcast from Amazon to SiriusXM for a three-year deal reportedly worth more than $100 million, according to Bloomberg. There are also reports that sports podcaster Bill Simmons might be exploring a separation from Spotify, which has owned the rights to his podcasts and the wider Ringer Podcast Network since 2020.
Joe Rogan, who runs Spotify’s most-listened-to podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” signed a reported $250 million deal to remain with the streaming service in February.
